Training
My training sessions are practical, interactive, and tailored to your organisation. Every session is designed around the people in the room (whether that’s in person or online) so it feels relevant, inclusive, and immediately useful.

I mix short inputs with time for individual reflection, small-group exercises, and whole-group discussion. This keeps the energy dynamic and ensures learning connects directly to real challenges and opportunities.

Because the training is built around your needs and goals, participants leave with ideas, tools, and approaches they can put into practice straight away. This not only builds individual confidence and skills, but also helps teams develop a shared understanding they can carry back into their day-to-day work.

Who I train
I work with people across the small-organisation landscape, most often in three ways:
-
Whole teams – where everyone can come together to build skills, confidence, and a shared approach.
-
Leaders and managers – from first-time line managers to experienced CEOs, looking to strengthen their leadership in practice.
-
Networks and membership organisations – bringing people from different charities and social enterprises together for collective learning.
Training gives participants a space to step back from the day-to-day, build practical skills, and return to their work with renewed clarity and confidence.
What changes afterwards
Training doesn’t stop at the end of the session. Participants leave with:
-
A clearer understanding of the topic, grounded in their own context
-
Practical tools and approaches they can start using straight away
-
Greater confidence in how to apply what they’ve learned
-
Shared language and alignment (for teams) that improves collaboration day to day
The result is learning that sticks — making a lasting difference for both the individuals involved and the organisation as a whole.
How it works
All training is designed around your organisation’s needs. We’ll start with a conversation about your goals, context, and who will be in the room.

Each programme is built in collaboration with you, ensuring the content is not only relevant but also immediately useful in the realities of your organisation’s work. As part of the design process, I make sure any accessibility requirements are taken into account, and you’ll have the chance to review materials in advance so you can feel confident the session will align with your expectations.
The most in-demand themes I’m asked to deliver include:
-
Using AI with intention – practical ways to explore opportunities and risks, and integrate AI responsibly
-
Leadership skills – from first-time line management to CEO-level leadership, focusing on confidence, communication, and accountability
-
Building inclusive, resilient cultures – strengthening trust, psychological safety, feedback, and reflection within teams
-
Resilience for small-organisation leaders – creating calm in the chaos and leading with values
-
Project management – project lifecycles, risk assessments, budgets, and evaluation
-
Strategic planning – from annual plans to long-term strategy and turning ideas into action

Training can be delivered in person or online, and can range from a one-hour masterclass to a full-day workshop. Sessions will be followed up with agreed materials (slides, handouts, or write-ups) to support putting learning into practice.
