Consulting
Consulting with me is always bespoke — designed around your organisation’s context, challenges, and aspirations. I don’t arrive with a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, I work alongside you as a partner: listening, asking the right questions, and helping you design practical ways forward that fit your reality.

Most of my work centres on helping small organisations step back, reflect, and plan with confidence. That often looks like:
-
Strategy development – facilitating 3–5 year strategy processes and supporting teams to turn big ideas into realistic action plans.
-
Research and consultation – mapping sectors, benchmarking against peers, or gathering insights directly from service users through focus groups, interviews, or surveys.
-
Organisational development – reviewing structures, processes, and culture, then working with teams to strengthen what’s already good and address what needs to change.
-
CEO “co-pilot” support – being a sounding board and critical friend for leaders carrying heavy responsibilities, sometimes combining this with project support.
Projects can be as focused as a half-day awayday or as extended as a year-long programme of organisational change. Some clients need one-off clarity; others want a partner to walk with them for months.

My approach
I bring a people-centred, participatory approach that helps organisations balance ambition with feasibility. My facilitation style is inclusive and structured: I create spaces where every voice can be heard, using methods like Liberating Structures to surface ideas and build consensus. I bring my coaching mindset into consultancy — helping uncover assumptions, explore differences, and move towards shared understanding.

Because I’ve been a CEO myself, I know how it feels to carry the whole weight of an organisation. That lived experience, combined with my coaching skills, means I bring both empathy and rigour. Clients often describe me as a partner who listens deeply, grounds strategy in reality, and delivers clear, practical outputs they can use straight away.
Outcomes for clients
Consulting projects leave organisations with:
-
Clarity – a shared understanding of where they are now, what matters most, and where they’re heading.
-
Confidence – leaders and teams who feel equipped to make decisions and move forward with purpose.
-
Alignment – trustees, staff, and stakeholders working from the same page, with less confusion and more unity.
-
Practical tools – clear reports, frameworks, or templates that support day-to-day implementation.
-
Stronger structures – recommendations that make governance, operations, and processes more sustainable.
-
Momentum – a sense of energy and focus that carries beyond the project itself.
How it works
It always begins with a conversation. We’ll talk through your context, challenges, and hopes for the future. From there, I’ll draft a proposal that sets out scope, timescales, deliverables, and costs. We shape it together to make sure it feels right.

Once agreed, I’ll deliver the project in close collaboration with your team. I keep projects structured and on track — setting clear milestones, sharing regular updates, and checking progress against agreed objectives. This way you can feel confident the work is moving forward as planned, with no surprises.
At the end, I’ll provide a clear report or set of outputs, and we’ll review what’s been achieved. Follow-up support is always available so changes can take root and last.
