Coaching
Coaching is a collaborative conversation designed to give you space to pause, reflect, and find clarity. With me, it’s a calm, focused hour where you can untangle your thoughts, explore challenges, and discover practical ways forward.

It isn’t training, therapy, or mentoring. I won’t hand you answers — though sometimes, if I’ve been through something similar, I may share a suggestion or idea to help unstick things. It’s always yours to take or leave.

The benefits? Clients often say they leave sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more confident. Coaching can help you:
-
Make sense of complex situations and priorities
-
Strengthen confidence and self-belief
-
Create practical ways forward instead of staying stuck
-
Build resilience and balance so you can sustain yourself in the role

Or as one of my clients put it: “coaching is helping you make the most of what you have.”

Who I coach
I work mostly with people in small organisations who are:
-
Stepping into leadership for the first time
-
Carrying the weight of being a CEO or senior leader
-
Adjusting to change, new responsibilities, or big challenges at work

Many of my clients don’t have formal support within their organisations, or they’re navigating the unique pressures of being the sole person in their role without peers to call on. Often, they’re learning on the job while juggling big responsibilities and decisions.

What they all share is a deep commitment to making a difference. Whether you’re leading a whole organisation or just starting to manage a direct report, coaching gives you a safe, supportive space to work through the pressures and opportunities that come with responsibility.
What we work on
A question I often ask at the start is: “What’s keeping you up at night?”
The answers vary — but over the years, themes have included:
-
Building confidence and tackling imposter syndrome
-
Handling difficult conversations with colleagues, boards, or partners
-
Prioritising when everything feels urgent
-
Managing stress, boundaries, and work-life balance
-
Developing leadership style and stepping into new roles
-
Planning strategically for the future — of yourself or your organisation
Every coaching journey is different, but the common thread is this: you bring what’s on your mind, and together we untangle it until you can see a way forward.
What it feels like
We usually meet one-to-one for an hour, in person or online. Sessions are every 4–6 weeks, giving time to reflect and try out new approaches between conversations.

We start by exploring what’s going on for you and setting clear goals for the coaching journey. These goals give focus and direction, while still leaving space to respond to whatever is most pressing in the moment.

In each session, I’ll ask questions, reflect back what I hear, and sometimes share exercises or ideas to deepen your awareness. The aim is always the same: to help you uncover your own insights and practical next steps.

As an EMCC-accredited coach, I work to the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches (external link), so you can trust the process will always be professional and confidential.
